6 Days Tanzania Safari –Flight to Serengeti

Flying to Serengeti saves on time spent on the road while enhancing your wildlife experience spending more time experience wildlife and nature. The Serengeti offers unrivaled wildlife sightings in spectacular landscapes of rolling grasslands and rocky outcrops popularly known as kopjes.

Day 1: Arusha – Serengeti National Park by Flight

Early in the morning you will depart from the hotel to Arusha Airport for your flight towards Serengeti Seronera. You will arrive at Seronera airstrip at approximately 1100 Hours. At hand to receive you will be our safari guide who will have picnic lunch for you and ready for the safari. You will embark on your safari stopping at around 1300 hours for lunch. You will continue with your game drive in search for the big cats of Serengeti and other ungulates. Day 2: Serengeti full day game drive

After Breakfast we will do full game drive at Serengeti National Park, Serengeti National park is the scene of the Great Wildebeest Migration after breakfast you will follow the migration of herds & spend much time with them in anticipation of experiencing animal actions like eating, fighting even killing. Packed lunch can be served at the picnic site or somewhere in the bush. This is a full day game drive in Serengeti where you will return back to Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge (https://twctanzania.com/accommodation/kubu-kubu-tented-lodge/ )for Dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast we head toward the Ngorongoro Crater. descend 600m into this magnificent Crater for a full-day game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely crowded African wildlife areas in the world and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhino. Supported by a year round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro National Park supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is its huge population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard. We will enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor.

Day 4:  Lake Eyasi – Cultural Interaction

After breakfast, we traverse the rough road to lake eyasi, another soda lake in the rift valley. We arrive in afternoon for a cultural interaction with the Tatoga tribe (a very interesting tribe). Our Tatoga guide at the village will lead the tour. We explore the dry and rugged landscape area on foot, which is still inhabited by a small group of bushmen: The Hadzabe or Watindiga. These tribes still live in bands,
hunting with bows and arrows; gathering roots, tubers and wild fruits. Another interesting tribe in this area is the Datoga (also called the Barabaig or Mang’ati). Initially, they were exercising a lot of rivalry over grazing land with the Maasai tribe. Late afternoon we will ascend from the crater and drive to Lake Eyasi. Day 5: Lake Eyasi – Tarangire Area

Early Morning around 5-6am our driver will be ready to escort you for your day adventure. Everyone will have their own, favorite cultural experience today. But perhaps your lasting memory will be of the Hadzabe hunter’s gatherers, their lifestyle will make you ponder how uncomplicated though not-easy life can be. We will first experience a hunting trip with the hadzabe, the last hunter’s gatherers in Tanzania, before receiving a welcome from different tribes, the colorful Datoga people you will also a local blacksmith practicing his craft, fashioning pots and weapons from scrap metal. Day 6: Tarangire – Arusha

In the morning you will be picked up from the hotel and drive to the Tarangire National Park. This park with its huge baobab trees, the perennial Tarangire River and seasonal swamps is home to the largest elephant herds in northern Tanzania. Animals gather at the river and you should be able to see elephants, giraffes, bushbucks, hartebeests, dik-diks, waterbucks, warthogs and reedbucks all year round. Furthermore, the park is also home to buffaloes, zebras and wildebeests which are always closely followed by a range of predators such as lions. Leopards are seen every once in a while but cheetahs are rarely spotted. From the open roof of the vehicle you will be able to absorb the landscape and watch the animals. After an extensive game drive, you will leave the park in the late afternoon and drive to Arusha. Dinner and Overnight at Kibo palace hotel.

Day 7: Departure day

After breakfast, our driver we will be there for your transfer to the airport to catch your flight back home or to your next destination
